Entirely independent, the school is situated on five acres in the pocket neighborhood near the 43rd exit of I-5 at the corner of 43rd and Riverside Blvd. Through the years, Brookfield has become the traditional neighborhood school for college-bound students in the Land Park, East Sacramento, Greenhaven, and Pocket areas. However, students also come from as far away as Elk Grove, Davis, Carmichael, Folsom, and the foothills.
Brookfield opened its new facility on October 13th, 2014. The beautiful new campus can now accommodate a K-8 school and a preschool!
The new preschool serves children ages 2, 3, and 4 (Transitional-kindergarten). Call us at (916) 442-1255 for more information.
Students report to their homeroom classes at 8:50 a.m., where they remain with their core teacher for the homeroom session. At the fifth grade level, classes are departmentalized with the students learning from quality instructors who teach only the subjects in which they have specialized. Even the primary students have four teachers (homeroom, computer, French and P.E.). However, their primary teacher is with them for most of the day.
The 2015-16 School Day is Monday through Friday, from 8:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m., with a 1:00p.m. dismissal each first Friday of the month. Students bring their own lunch from home, or have the option of ordering hot lunch from several local restaurants.
