Financial Aid Information and Documents

Families wishing to apply for financial aid will need to go to the SSS website and follow the instructions outlined on the form (forms are attached below). It is strongly encouraged that the process be completed as early as possible because there is a limit on the amount of financial aid we disperse. This year we will be requiring the following from all applicants:

  • 1040 Tax returns for 2024 and 2023 for BOTH parents. If a parent is not involved in the family, then proof of child support, incarceration or death is required.
  • All W-2s reflected on the tax returns for both parents.
  • One service hour for every $100 in aid, with a maximum of 100 hours for the entire family. This is the same as past years. Any assistance from family and friends will count as long as the helpers are 16 or older, although younger children are welcome for some of the service opportunities. 10 hours per year can be devoted to the Brookfield Parents Association.

If a family has trouble with the SSS Portal, they should contact the help line. The SSS team is generally quite responsive and can see what is going on with each application from their end.
