Notices and Emergencies Topics

Notices to Parents
Notices to parents are delivered to each classroom during the last few minutes on last period of the day. Check with your children regularly for communications sent home from school. All information sent home to students and/or parents that is not part of the School's curriculum needs to be cleared by the Director.

Emergency Procedures
In the event of an emergency, every effort will be made to contact parents as soon as possible. If immediate attention is necessary, the School will call emergency response professionals. It is the parent's responsibility to keep all emergency information in the office up-to-date. Should there ever be a need to evacuate the premises, Brookfield will have its "rally point" for student pick-up at:
  1. Crocker Riverside Elementary School 2970 Riverside Blvd.
  2. The small shopping center (3200 block on Riverside Blvd.) kitty corner from Vic's.
  3. The Park - across the street from the school along 11th Ave.

Nondiscrimination Policies and Sexual Harassment
It is the policy of Brookfield School not to discriminate on the basis of sex in its education programs or employment policies as required by Title IX . The school prohibits unlawful sexual harassment of or by anyone in or from the School. If any student, staff, or parent feels that harassment or discrimination has occurred, contact the school immediately. Uniform complaint procedures and forms contain appeal and review procedures and advise interested parties of civil law remedies. There is no substitute for direct contact between teacher and student in the educational process. Students cannot derive the full benefit of the Brookfield experience unless they are in class and held fully accountable for meeting all of their commitments. It is for that reason that Brookfield will enforce attendance policies as strictly as possible.
