In addition to our special guests, Dr. Jo's husband, "Grandpy Dave," a 13 year stroke survivor, shared his challenges with our Pre-first and 1st grade students. In this way, our students will understand why it's important to be understanding and courteous to those who need special accommodations. As one of our wheelchair-bound volunteers shared, "Don't just stare; say hi! I'll say hi back!"
