Congratulations to Jessica C., Cameron O., Isabella I., and Kenji M., who placed from 3rd to 10th place in their national class divisions.  Not pictured is 8th grader, Joel L. ranked 9th nationally in his division as well.  The National French Contest is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French.  Students take a written and oral exam that tests general fluency and comprehension.  Each year, our middle school students participate, and each year, our school has several students who rank high enough for national recognition.  Thank you to Madame Betancourt and Madame Stiehr, our French teachers, for their excellent preparation.  Brookfield's French Program is highly respected as one of the top programs of its kind on the west coast.  Congratulations students!
