Ms. Renee Janota comes to Brookfield from the state of Michigan where she taught Social Studies for 18 years in private and public middle schools. She was born in Oregon, raised in Alaska, and has lived in many of the states in the U.S.A., as well as 3.5 years in Frankfurt, Germany. Ms. Janota earned her Master's degree in Education with a focus on Technology in the Classroom through Walden University. Ms. Janota returned to the west to be a part of her three grandsons' lives in the Sacramento area.

In addition to her specialization in Social Studies, Ms. Janota leads our school Washington, D.C. Trip and serves as our Technology Teacher in all grades in addition to working with our Assistant Principal to coordinate Student Support Services.  She's a busy teacher, but highly organized, which serves her and the Brookfield Community well!  Ms. Janota believes in creating a classroom community based on respect for each other, so that everyone has the opportunity to learn and grow. Her warm smile, and words of encouragement have helped her connect with thousands of students in her previous classrooms.
