Stephen Davis joined Brookfield as our first grade teacher in August of 2009. In his 21st year teaching first, second and third grades, he has taught in private, public, and charter schools in Chicago and Sacramento. Mr. Davis specializes in language arts, and combines research based techniques with energy and humor, making first grade a fun place to learn and grow.
He understands the importance of teaching children to think critically and to believe in themselves, and enjoys serving as a male role model. "It's my belief that when children are able to think things through, articulate their ideas, and read and write with proficiency and confidence, they will excel in every academic area." Mr. Davis also enjoys directing our annual first grade musical, "Grammarosaurus," and performing in musicals as well. He lives with his wife of 30 years, Erika, and their three dogs in Rocklin.
